The Sunday Night Digest = me + glass of wine + reflection on the previous weeks ongoings and a glimpse into happenings next week. You're Welcome.

The shop is open for the season! Well, sort of... I’m taking it super easy and getting back into a schedule with condensed hours Fridays & Saturdays 12-4pm and Sundays & Mondays 12-3pm. The other days of the week I am available by appointment, but I’ll mostly be at the studio painting and getting ahead on some big projects and orders. Plus, I have some upcoming travel for The Coates Residency coming together, but this will be a much shorter trip... and I won't be driving! More on that soon.

Thursday evening was such a special time at the store. I invited a few friends and family by to check out the shop before we officially opened on Friday and the outpouring of love and support was what dreams are made of! Thank you to every one for getting out in the cold and rain and coming by to make my homecoming so spectacular.
Side note to my fellow hosts and hostesses and those inquiring about the cocktails served: My favorite cocktail for entertaining at the moment is Champagne, splash of Elderflower liqueur and a fresh flower like these gorgeous violas from Gourmet Sweet Botanicals.

I am getting a lot of commissions for custom pieces from my A Series of Unusual Colors including this smart Valentine, a trio of various shades of Lila Blue for the Lila Delman Real Estate Jamestown office and a grouping for Newport Restaurant Group to be hung in their latest venture, Bar 'Cino, Brookline. If you're looking to collaborate on a custom color or saying, send me a note - it's been so fun to make these and see them come to light!

     Hauswitch, Salem
Last week I had the most spectacular day trip to Salem with one of my dear friends. We went to one of our favorite shops, Hauswitch and then also Oak + Moss and sister store Roost. Erica Feldmann, owner of Hauswitch is such a special curator and sourced some of the most lovely things. I got some great cystals, books and candles and a real sense of grounding and peace in her store. It really is magic! Oak + Moss and Roost were brimming with springtime houseplants and decor. It was hard to leave these shops and they were so friendly to Sofia. Then a light flurry of snow started to come down, talk about a picture perfect New England day!

I also had the unique pleasure of meeting Portsmouth, New Hampshire artist Kent Maxwell and I am delighted to have his work in the gallery! I think you will love his dreamy landscapes built up with tons of texture and definition combined with coastal colors we all know and love. Each piece feels like a little window to the sea and what is better than that?! Now in the store and online!

I am excited to continue with my work and putting a lot of my focus on Hammetts Hotel this week! WhatsUpNewp put out a great article this week on the progress and Travel + Leisure named Hammetts Hotel in their best new hotels around the world to book in 2020 - I could not agree more!

I am also thrilled about all of the art and objects now in the shop with so much inspired by my travels last month. I hope you get a chance to come by the gallery and of course continue to shop online

Happy weekend from our family to yours
See you in the gallery and online. Much love XO Kristen
