The Sunday Night Digest = me + a possible glass of wine + reflection on the previous weeks ongoings and a glimpse into future happenings. You're Welcome

Have you ever seen a more delicious start to summer? Nothing like a pandemic to make the following season glow so gloriously - yes this weather could have been more cooperative this holiday weekend, but so far I think we have it pretty good.
I’ve been making time each day to not only do one thing I love, but one thing I love for the season and I think you will see that peppered throughout my newsletters and reflected in the shop in the coming weeks. And by the way, it was not you, thank you for so many notes - I so appreciate all the kind words and your missing the newsletters, it was me! After a year plus of double timing marketing efforts alongside our insane year of shipping, I needed a moment to collect my thoughts and breathe in the summer air. But I’m back to (semi) regular transmissions and I’m so happy to be inspired to share with you again.

Last weekend I was happy to support my friends in the Newport LGBTQIA+ community during Pride presented by Newport Out. If you’re not familiar with this super welcoming and inclusive organization I invite you to get to know them - here and here are good places to start.
The Newport Flower Show was reimagined this year as a presentation from the Preservation Society rather than submissions. Nevertheless it was a gorgeous evening filled with stunning botanical installations, and my favorite, the rose clippings. If you’re not a member or do not subscribe to Trudy Coxe’s newsletter, you are missing out… see here!

Two things for the coming weekend
Friday, Island Moving Company will have their Notte Bianca gala in the stunning gardens of my dear friend, Jonna Chewning. Jonna really has curated one of the most magical places on the island. Find tickets here at various levels and support IMC while enjoying performances, dinner and dancing in a setting you won't forget!
Saturday, July 10, 5-7pm join me at the shop for A Bellevue Midsummer Soiree! Cocktails, gift bags for shoppers and a chance to see some art and reconnect with friends of the store. My way of saying thank you for supporting my tiny shop over the last year (dare I say almost 10 years?!) and making all my art-shop-design dreams come true.

And if you are not in Newport next weekend, get your fill of art at Art Basel’s Online Viewing Rooms connecting galleries, artists and art enthusiasts virtually. I am such a fan of galleries and museums making more of their exhibitions and collections accessible online. Now if I could only keep my own website current!
Happy Fourth! Happy weekend from our family to yours
