If you change the way you look at things, the way you look at things will change - Wayne Dyer via Errol Gerson via Will Tingle

There’s something I’ve learned over the years that I thought worth sharing in this moment of change and growth. I can change my story and all will be okay, typically things have been better than okay if listen to my intuition. After these last couple of years, I have new-found information and a fresh perspective. I know just as I’ve shared my work and my process for the last decade plus, this new invention of my day to day will bring me further along, not just in my creative process, but in my life. That is how I know it’s the next step for me. It is a little terrifying to shift into new gears as an artist and designer away from the daily habits I’ve perfected in retail. I know everything I’ve ever wanted is on the other side of fear and I deserve to live my most extraordinary life as soon as possible. I’m truly excited about this next chapter. I know it won’t be for everyone, but I know it's been calling my name for a while and it's time to answer that call.
With much love and deepest gratitude,
Kristen
PS. A few things I found inspiring this week are far more entertaining than my inner monologue about shifting from retail store to design studio. I cannot wait to check out this chic hotel opened just in time for Milan Fashion Week - my favorite show being the entire Bottega Veneta collection. Look for an upcoming post on Milan, I just love everything about it. The editor of Town & Country was raving about this hairbrush, but I instead bought this one while buying my favorite hand soap because it seemed just a bit more environmentally friendly and miles ahead of the comb! I've been using since leaving my favorite travel brush in a hotel this summer. I am reading Rick Rubin's book The Creative Act, again. You can get a signed copy of it here. I heard a rumor Jacquemus is closer to opening their first US store in NYC. Designer Pierre Yovanovitch had his latest project in Paris on the cover of Elle Decor. It's no wonder, it's simply heavenly.
Happy weekend from our family to yours!
XO Kristen
