The Sunday Night Digest = me + a possible glass of wine + reflection on the previous weeks ongoings and a glimpse into future happenings. You're Welcome
This week I launched a feature on my website where you can book your own in-store shopping appointment. Thank you so much for taking the time to do so and to make this season as festive as we can this year. All of your online orders, waves hello through the front window and curbside pickups have inspired me to keep on with the traditions of previous years just at a serious distance. This weekend I have extended our usual in-store sale to online as well - use code VIP at checkout for 20% off and free shipping on all regularly priced items, but don't delay because this sale is as short as it is sweet!
As some of you know, I am amidst a big design project here in Newport that has been so rewarding and truly inspiring. I have so enjoyed working on this incredible historic home and collaborating with the clients, whom I now call friends. And I am thrilled to share I have another project on the horizon in early 2021 that I hope to be a real joy for you to see come to life. This, I know, is just a little tease, but you know I have no ability to keep a secret so you will know soon enough!!

One of my best girlfriends, Kat Turner, opened a very popular casual restaurant in Los Angeles is 2019. Less than a year later she was faced with layoffs and months on end of uncertainty and a few days ago she was interviewed by the LA Times for a video piece about keeping her doors open during the pandemic. I get teary eyed by the tone of her voice alone. I felt this was super important to share because not only does it encapsulate the pain with business ownership, but also the tenacity to pivot to make it work at all costs. I can't stress enough how important it is to support all the local restaurants and small businesses you want to see open on the other side of this thing. Watch the video here.
The closest I'm coming to a cocktail party this season is pretty much a puzzle and a toast to Michael from the sofa! With that said, I have been very into making new cocktails and trying new recipes - I said to a friend today, "I cannot wait to start hosting parties again" and it's really so true. It's what I miss most about the holidays, just the merriment and social time to see everyone I might not see all year long. So just know I'm thinking about you and years past and all we have to look forward to in the years to come. But for now, I'm puzzling and cocktailing at home.

In case you missed it, I interviewed painter and photographer Victoria Duffy for my Ten Questions blog. You might know her as my gallery assistant for many years, but here's a chance to learn more about the artist. See the blog post here and see her work here.
Much love XO Kristen

Composed while sipping a little champagne from my friends at Grapes & Gourmet in Jamestown and listening to the Christmas Coates playlist on Spotify. If you have a dog, try this holiday song, Raise the Woof! My uncle sent it over and at first Sofia could not be bothered, now she and Mabel run around whenever it comes on!
For those making appointments for curbside pickup and in-store shopping, please be kind, wear a mask and keep some space so we can all feel safe. And if you have any symptoms of feeling unwell go ahead and stay home. We will ship your order to you for free!
If you are receiving this on a day that is not Sunday, it's because our email system sends out a second time, later in the week, to those that have not opened their email on Sunday...
