WORKSHOP: Driftwood Seascapes At Kristen Coates
Join us for this fun workshop at the gallery designed by owner and curator Kristen Coates and hosted by artist and gallery assistant Kelsy Patnaude. This class is meant for all levels of experience and is in a fun and casual environment.

Description: Using natural elements of wood and sand along with acrylic paint and a tiny bit of glitter, Kelsy Patnaude will instruct Kristen Coates' class on driftwood seascapes. We will learn a few basic techniques on painting water, horizons and puffy, happy clouds.
Each participant will take home their own painted seascape on driftwood and enjoy refreshments during the open studio.
The artist: Kristen is an art enthusiast with a passion for curating all things in life. Her gallery in downtown Newport is where she spends most of her time hanging art, working with clients and bringing new products and inspiration to the city by the sea. Kelsy Patnaude is an artist and gallery assistant with a passion for horseback riding and surfing, both subjects inspire her photographs and paintings.
Class is limited to 10 participants. Advance reservations are required. Session expected to be about 1 hour. $30 Includes all materials and refreshments and participants receive 10% off all shopping after the class (discount excludes art).
