Silver Lining, 2016
By Kristen Coates
60"H x 48"W
Acrylic on canvas
From the private collection of Kristen Coates
I painted this piece shortly after my mother passed away at the end of 2015. It was a reminder to myself that there are better times just around the corner, darkness is not all around. This painting is a talisman of that message being told to me by my mother and something I look at and see and am reminded of several times a day. Sometimes I think art is just art, but other times I just think wow.
