Painting I, 1986
By Kristen Coates
20"H x 16"W
Mixed media on paper
From the collection of Kristen Coates
This is the first painting I ever did with an intention. I thought about the composition, the color and wanted the finished piece to be cut into an oval. Even at the wonderful age of 5 I loved art. When I look at this I can remember painting it and really not much as changed. I feel like I could have done this yesterday.
