Hoping you and yours are weathering the storm. We are feeling very lucky to have a few fallen leaves and minimal moisture in the basement. The shop will be open again tomorrow and we will be back to regular hours.

Earlier this week I was delighted to be invited to a preview of Newport Restaurant Group's new experience Foodlove. It really is exactly what this island needed! The market retail concept is marvelous with incredible fresh produce, prepared meals (many we know and love from Newport Restaurant Group restaurants) and a walk up counter for coffee and pastries. There is so much more, but you're just going to have to see for yourself when they open again on Tuesday... why oh why do so many restaurants and shops close on Monday?!

Another new venture we experienced is the reimagined restaurant at the Vanderbilt Hotel. The decor is really wonderful throughout the entire first floor, the drinks are exceptional and we loved our dinners. I am excited to have a new restaurant on our list of go-tos.
