NEW: Mother, May I? Set the table, draw on the walls, love you forever
Mother, May I? Set the table, draw on the walls, love you forever
OPENING RECEPTION: SATURDAY, MAY 10, 12-3PM
A gallery show about tenderness, memory, and the art of living beautifully. Mother, May I? brings together new works by Kristen Coates, Luke Brenner, and Ricky Burrows, alongside a collection of tableware and glassware by Forgotten Island. It’s part dinner party, part art show, part ode to the people who shape us.
A Note from the Curator
I put this show together during a moment when I was thinking a lot about legacy and love- how we set the table, literally and figuratively, for the people we care about. I wanted to create a space where art and life blur, where the softness of a brushstroke mirrors the shape of a vase or the curve of a conversation. This show is a tribute to the mothers, mentors, and muses in our lives. To the rituals we inherit and the ones we reinvent. To drawing on the walls and loving forever.
