The Sunday Night Digest = me + a possible glass of wine + reflection on the previous weeks ongoings and a glimpse into happenings next week. You're Welcome.

We are all in this thing together.

I think I am on day 28 of being home. Around day 22 I started to lose it a little from all the uncertainty, horror and madness we are facing. Then, I took a deep look at what I have and all the amazing silver linings my life is filled with - a home I am learning to see as a sanctuary, getting to know Michael and Sofia and their funny ways day in and day out, a business I thought was completely over at the onset of this pandemic, but now I have so much hope thanks to all of you - and thought about what I want next. And you know what I thought of? Nice hand soap. :) HAND SOAP! So I followed my intuition and placed an order from Compagnie de Savon, the gorgeous French made soaps in the glass bottles we all love for the store. Then I ordered stunning puzzles from New York brand Piecework (thank you Julia for this recommendation!) and smudge sticks from Bohemian Rêves. Next I found some aromatherapy wands and facial masks and intention kits. I filled the whole store with the things I know I love and I know make me incredibly happy. And of course it is not fixing anything really, but the bare minimum of feeling okay for little moments each day and being surrounded by beauty and now I'm ready to paint again thankfully. If you're in the market for a little happiness for your home sanctuary, I invite you to get inspired here

So this is happening! The Floral Reserve is sending a magnificent box of spring blooms to me in Newport this week and I'll make up bouquets and deliver Saturday for all your holiday weekend festivities. Reply to this email if you are interested in a locally delivered bouquet. I think we could all use a little spring indoors these days and I'm happy to pair with items from the store and package as gifts for friends and loved ones we can't be with at this time.

I am taking orders again for my Virtual Painting Workshop as I am now finally getting the supplies for the first orders (I can't wait to paint with all of you!). And an enormous thank you to Hey Rhody for including this listing in their piece on happy things to do virtually these days. It's a good list - check it out here

I was psyched to get this shot from artist Wick this last week. It's a sign of good things to come and so aptly titled, Resilient. This is one of the first photographs selected for Hammets Hotel. What a beacon of hope this project has been for me and so many artists, artisans and local businesses. I can't wait for the days when the doors are open, the sun is shining and we can appreciate this beautiful space together. In the meantime, see more of Wick's work here.

Happy weekend from our family to yours
Much love XO Kristen
