Michael and I in the elevator on our way to a socially distanced micro wedding

The Sunday Night Digest = me + a possible glass of wine + reflection on the previous weeks ongoings and a glimpse into happenings next week. You're Welcome

There is no such thing as time or days in July. Just sun and sparklers and the water.

In my newsletter yesterday I wrote about the perfect way to create your own beach day setup and mentioned Grapes & Gourmet in Jamestown for one of the best places to get a cheeseboard for the beach. They also are delicious on the terrace as well as at home! I find a way to make my way to their shop any time I cross the Newport bridge. It's such a treat!
I love seeing my work and art and objects from the gallery in friends and clients homes. It's like greeting an old friend. This happy landscape lives in Darien, Connecticut at the home of my dear friend and designer, Jillian Giambruno and her husband Keith. There are a whole bunch of images from her incredible house on the Installations section of my website. If you want to be featured, send me a clear, natural light photo of art from my gallery in your home or business! I love seeing where work lives in its forever home and find it really inspiring to see work out in the wild.
Back in stock! My Beautiful candles fragrant of lilac and iris and best of all, 10% of proceeds benefits the Friends of Newport Hospital Fund in honor of my mother Stephanie. See them online here
mid-afternoon Morari by Wendy Briggs Powell
It's such a wonderful feeling to get a package in the mail from Wendy Briggs Powell as I know we will have her watermarks up on the walls in the gallery soon after. These one of a kind original watercolors are made from archival paper saturated in dyed water. It's amazing that Wendy is able to capture the movement of water with her technique in a way you can't get with a brush or a palette knife. I am always awed at her pieces and the gentle sway of color and I think you will be too. There are just a couple left - see them here.
You might remember these happy painted fish from last summer in the store. I met up with Joe Fish, the painter who creates these sweet guys and couldn't decide on just 1, 2 or 20 to bring back to the gallery. See them in the shop or online here.

Happy weekend from our family to yours
Much love XO Kristen
